Finishing Christmas, Really!!!

First of all, it is still January and snow is still around , so I  left my houses on my big shelf just for the ambiance. They are so pretty and they have so many memories of my best friend Jo that passed 5 years ago..She helped my pick most of them out and some for herself too..
So, I am putting a little spring colors in my theme just to lift my winter blahs.. This is my shelf after and a snap of my houses too..

Tea towel challenge

Tea towel  challenge over at Elefantz and Jenny has really turned the heat up on this one.. Girls, get those thinking hats on and come up with something with more creativity than mine.. I just appliqued a cupcake and some rickrack with a little batting.. Giving it to my little Sister in Wisconsin.. Have fun with these towels..

Projects Finished

Well, between yesterday and today I managed to stick with the bags and finish them. I hope my girls like them, they should hold lots of stuff,,,you know stuff, the good stuff... lol.. Now I have a few other loose ends to work on and this weather allows me the time to do this. Just a few little gift ideas for Valentines.. Tomorrow will be shopping day with Sister and Mom, just to get Mom out for lunch,, she likes to eat at Olga's.. not that she eats that much.. It  should be a good day for that too since we are having rain and fog. Here are a few snaps of my Bags.

WINTER FOGS

We are having another day of fog... We have been socked in here in Illinois for the last 4 mornings.. Kids are back in school today.. The view from the sunroom is very blah now but  I can see buds on the maple trees next door just waiting for the right time..The birds and squirrels have been eating relentlessly and the ground is covered with thousands of tiny shells that nobody wants.. Mr. Couple is having the snow blower fixed now in case we have any more snow,, could have really used it before now but....oh well, the shovel worked for him..
Its just that he is a such an age that it can be damaging even if you are in good shape..
Must make trip to get some food in here, looks like rain coming the next few days,, maybe get a peek at some fabric while I am out.. Would love to do that scrappy strip quilt that    thepaintedquilt  is doing...

SOME EYE CANDY

I am posting some of my purchases from yesterday..As you know I am really more primitive than brights but these just caught my eye for  a few projects.. Also a little something for my LS up north.. I miss her and hope to get to see her real soon. Anyhow, some new topstitch needles, adorable chicken panel and fq bundle, I had to get the GONE WITH THE WIND panel as my BFF is a die hard fan , a giant M for my sewing room, a label panel and a cupcake panel, FROSTED FONDANT, by Debbie Hobbs, and polka dots.. I love them and collect them..
